John Varvatos Celebrates International Day of Peace with Ringo Starr

Peacerocks concert

The #PEACEROCKS campaign was launched on July 7th, Ringo’s birthday, when John Varvatos announced that Ringo would be featured in the Varvatos Fall 2014 campaign. The campaign is centered on a social media and charity initiative to support The Ringo Starr Peace & Love Fund for the benefit of the David Lynch Foundation.

This is accomplished through the ad themselves, all of which include #PEACEROCKS to fuel an aggressive social media campaign using the hashtag. This call-to-action encourages participants to share photos of themselves flashing the peace sign via Instagram, Twitter, and Vine in an effort to raise funds while raising awareness. For each #PEACEROCKS tagged photo, $1 will be donated to the charity through the end of 2014.

The crowd of Music VIPs, Fashion VIPs and Tastemakers gathered to celebrate #PEACEROCKS rockin with an All Starr show that featured Edgar Winter and his “Tobacco Road Blues,” followed by “Broken Wings” by Richard Page, into the Steve Lukather’s “Hold The Line” and Joe Walsh’s “Rocky Mountain Way” closing with “Matchbox,” “It Don’t Come Easy,” and “With A Little Help From My Friends,” by Ringo.
